Write a Paper
Depending on the project you are working on, writing a paper typically comprises the following steps:
Brainstorm the possible topics of your paper-
Discuss your ideas with Dr- Zeng- Very likely, your first idea will not be accepted- So, bring as many ideas to group meeting as possible- The above steps will go through multiple iterations-
Review literature to survey the related work- A summary table is needed to describe the existing work and the position of your work in the literature- Present your summary table in group meeting- It is important to answer the following questions:
how does your work differ from prior work?
how does your work advance the knowledge?
why is your work important?
Define the scope of your work, formulate your problem, and explore possible solutions
Implement your solution and evaluate their performance (experimental evaluation is a must whenever possible)
Present your results in group meeting- Very likely, the above two steps will go through multiple iterations
